Smilies won't work!

Have installed Say Box and it works fine, BUT clicking on any of the smilies has no effect. None of them work for me. I went to admin. and made sure that disable smilies was not checked. Still no luck. I can see the smilies when I click on the word but they simply will not appear in the message area along with my message. Any idea why? Thanks!

You don't click them... you type in the smiley code, like :-[

Thanks Freedom. I guess that I am so used to clicking smilies in every other forum that I just never considered typing them. Thanks, your solution works fine! I really appreciate your help!!
