There is now an option in your admin panel to force visitors to post with their display name on a ProBoards forum. Enabling the feature will remove the name input field and automatically use the name the user is logged in with. If the user is not logged in, they will post as "Guest".
This stop guests being able to come to your forum and post using names of registered members. However please note that names stored via cookie value (ie guests who've previously posted) will not be overridden, although changing the name will no longer be possible. You should also note that the name value uses display name and not username - if the member changes their display name, the name they post with on the shoutbox will also change.
Although this feature was designed for use with ProBoards forums only, in some cases it will be possible to use on websites as well. Please post in the Help board if you'd like to know more about this.

annoying idea because people it posts username and display name and people can still say what they like as a guest. It also means I've got to log out of my admin account and log into my posting account to use the say box if I have it enabled and if I don't it's just annoying.

As I said in your other thread - if you enable name locking, even logging out won't allow you to change the name you post under. The feature will hopefully be further updated this week, and there'll be the usual announcement in your admin panel once its done.

This feature has been further updated today to allow you to choose how names for members display on your shoutbox.
