Camping

Do you like camping? I went for a weekend a few weeks back, and although the weather was really nice and I had fun during the day, I really hate sleeping in tents You're sleeping outside, on the floor, with a bit of canvas over you, basically. I only camped because I wanted to go to the seaside for a couple of days, and it was cheaper than a caravan/hotel. I don't get people who go camping for fun

I have to camp at a festival next weekend, and it's supposed to rain >_< So do the rest of you actually enjoy it?

I don't really care for camping too much, and I haven't gone for quite a few years. Too many bugs so I don't really care if I do go anytime soon. =P

I hate camping, though I've seen some giant luxury tends that looked kind of cool.

Ive only been camping a few times....pretty fun, except when you pass out from mosquitoes/blood loss

Maybe. Or he could be really small so one bite from a mosquito was enough to take him out?

I love camping! But I hate most campings, though. I prefer to have no other people around other than my husband and kid. It is simply great, being surrounded by nature, back to basics. (Yeah, call me crazy, but you won't make me happy with a vacation in a luxury hotel. Way too boring for me.) But never longer then 10 days. Then I am seriously longing to a hot shower and my own bed. And yes, before you go to sleep you have to kill all mosquitoes in your tent.

I go camping every year. The only problem is that my family now wants a cabin instead of tents, because they would rather not sleep on a hard ground. But I enjoy camping, because I like cooking hot dogs over a fire, and all that fun stuff.

Ive never passed out from it....but i would suspect that they swarm you? Really tiny ones but theres tons of them

I know that problem. But we solved that with self-inflatable mats. They are really comfortable.
