It's Carnival time here in Greece and this is the last weekend. It covers a 3 week period and the last weekend is the big party one. In Patra (a city in the S/W of Greece) they have the country's biggest parade. The Patra Carnival festivities is sposed to be the secong biggest after the Notting Hill one in London. Monday is a holiday as it's our first day of Lent.
All my students kept showing up for class in costumes & we had quite a blast. My town used to host a mini carnival parade as well but the new mayor decided it was costing too much. It just ain't the same anymore
If you ever decide to visit Greece in the winter, I suggest you come during our Carnival. Not as many naked women as in the Rio one..but you may get a few treats..lol
