dude - the only way you get trojans is when you download stuff - hopefully you didn't download stuff somewhere innapporpiate - cause i heard those sites are loaded with trojans

k. first of all you can get trojans almost every way possible. thats why they are the worst virus out there. the popups download temp files on your computer in yoiur temp internet files computer, causing a trojan which spreads accross your computer. so don't talk about things you don't know about.

i would have thought someone who knows so much about the intricies of virus spreading would equip himself with software with the capability of stopping pop-ups, a pop-up blocker so to speak. Or perhaps a program that detects said viruses and deletes them. Perhaps it should be called "anti-virus". Maybe someone will bring these figments of my thought into being one day.

That's inverse logic. How can it possibly be an inconvenience when all it does is sit there and block pop-ups, and maybe tell you if its done it. It's not as if whenever it blocks a pop-up you have to give it a treat, or keep it cool in the hot summer days. Hell, i've got 3.

clearly sir, you are an idiot. with the google toolbar you hold down ctrl when you click if you want something to pop up. Hardly an inconvenience.

Firefox blocks most popups. I'm not a "Firefox is awesome, IE sux" person, but if you want to cut down on popups I would suggest using Firefox as your browser.

Does the "PAP" also incorperate pop-unders into their manifesto? Lupin

well if you know its not an inconvenience you've more or less ruined your entire argument against pop-up blockers, which was (and i quote) "and i hate popup blockers, cuz their a inconvinience lol". Also i wasn't informing you that you can hold down ctrl with google toolbar implying that you didn't know, I was using it as an example of how pop-up blockers aren't really inconvenient in the slightest.
Now then, lets summarise. You hate pop-ups because some carry trojans. However, we've now established that you don't find pop-up blockers inconvenient. There is clearly some form of solution to this problem, but clearly it is going to take someone of much higher intellect than us to figure it out.......

i know i know i should install a popup blocker. and this topic as turned into a topic all about my stupidness somehow:| it was suppose 2 be a topic so i could see who else hated popups. somethings just go the wrong way.

well possbily because you've crossed your argument within this thread, so really it was pointless in any case. Any person in their right mind is against advertising pop-ups, becuase all they do is spam and cause harm to your system. It really didn't need to be asked.
