I have to say that I disagree. I think the death penality makes a mockery of the idea of reform. What right has society to judge that a person's life should end? Surely its a far worse punishment for criminals and murders to rot in jail..are we not just stooping down to their level by using these means? The law condemns murder and then goes on to murder in the name of the law. Especially in cases such as terrorists, who welcome death and martyrdom, I think death is more of an easy way out. Lupin Murder means to unlawfully kill, and the death penalty is legal...so they are not murdering the murderers in the name if the law....Just pointing out, and you make a good point l True, so lets scrap "murder" and replace it with "kill". I know what I meant anyway, lol. Thanks though Lupin

I don't agree with it in any circumstances.

I don't agree with it. Would you rather somebody that killed three hundred people get to simply die or Would you rather them have to live their entire lives in a box with no parole where they can and WILL think about the crime they performed? I would rather the second. Let them think about what they did and not get to escape from their punishment (which is basically what the death sentence is).

ya if you kll them, they don't actually feel bad for what they've done. if you lock em somewhere for a long time there's a chance they just might relise that what they did was wrong, and that crime is wrong.

Exactly. If criminals are simply giving away their lives for some hundred people, that is nothing compared to a life in prison where they can contemplate what they have done and basically waste away their life in a cell
