For. Punishment in the UK at least IMO is too weak. The behavior of children in schools has also got worse over the past few years, and it's going to continue getting worse until something is done about the discipline system.

I have to say that I disagree. I think the death penality makes a mockery of the idea of reform. What right has society to judge that a person's life should end? Surely its a far worse punishment for criminals and murders to rot in jail..are we not just stooping down to their level by using these means? The law condemns murder and then goes on to murder in the name of the law. Especially in cases such as terrorists, who welcome death and martyrdom, I think death is more of an easy way out.

Lupin Murder means to unlawfully kill, and the death penalty is legal...so they are not murdering the murderers in the name if the law....Just pointing out, and you make a good point l

I disagree with the death penalty. The justice system isn't perfect, as evidenced by the number of people wrongly convicted. The death penalty is a permanent decision which cannot be reversed once carried out. Until there is a way to prove the persons guilt absolutely (not just beyond a reasonable doubt) then I don't think it's worth the risk of killing an innocent person.

I totally disagree with the death penalty.. In Texas there are numerous men on death row that are not guilty.. Harris County Houston Texas convicts anyone that is poor ..doesnt' matter whether the person is guilty or not. they execute them.. and this , in my opinion is murder.. nothing less..

well i voted agree, because there are some people who don't dersere to live, BUT i do agre with lupins point. but i have my own to make. i also disagree because of the way the death penalty system works. they just kill them half the time w/o a fair trial, and don't try to understand why they did it or how their life has benn. so i think they should really change they way they work things

i agree with the death penalty, but only in extreme cases, and hence the method of death must be one of the following:
a) Stoning. People can volunteer to throw many, many large rocks at the prisoner until his/her body becomes unrecognisable. b) Firing Squad. This seems normal, but all the squad are equipped with flamethrowers. So perhaps it should be FIREing Squad. c) Starvation. Left in a small room with no windows and a camera. This is to enable live television feeds. The public can watch as the prisoner slowly dies.
I'd think of more, but anything along these lines will do. Oh, and everything would be public and televised. Lethal Injection, pfffffft.

Please no one say that the exectutioner has to be killed for killing someone. the executioner has a liscence to kill. it is not against the law to kill....certain people.
