Server Down Time

SayBox users,

We understand the recent down time has caused a lot of inconvenience for everyone, ourselves included. So far we've been unable to find exactly what's been causing this to happen, but we are working to do so.

What we do know is that recently something has been causing Apache (the part of the server that deals with outputting web pages) to crash at around the same time each day. Although Apache is set to restart automatically if that happens, for some reason that hasn't been happening. Instead, we've had to restart it manually.

We have disabled automatic stat tracking and set backups to run less frequently. Hopefully this will stop apache from crashing and keep your sayboxes up and running.

At any rate, we ask you to please bear with us while we work to remedy this issue. If you have purchased a subscription and are worried about time lost during the down time, please post a reply here. We will apply a credit to your subscription as we understand this has been out of your control and is very frustrating.

Please include your saybox username and server number (if known).
