State of California, 362 U.S. 60). United States courts also recognize the right to speak anonymously – AND have held that the right extends to speech on the Internet." Does that mean the it is illegal for IP Address to be shown...? I doubt it...

I guess the judge doesn't spend much time online... I wonder if he'd have made the same ruling if he owned (for example) a large internet forum that was constantly spammed by anonymous visitors?

True, but then again, there are some forums where the admins abuse their abilities by going out of their way to hack members using the ip adresses, or show the ip adresses to others who shouldn't see such. I know quite a few forums where it's happened.
