I'm sure you've all heard about the earthquake in South East Asia. About 80,000 dead at the time I'm posting, and it's probably gonna double due to disease etc. I have 2 friends in a city in India that has been quite badly affected It's a horrible thing to have happened:( I've donated £20 to Oxfam to help the situation over there. I figured that they need it more than me. If anyone else wants to donate through Oxfam, Click here. They accept a few currencies, including £ and $ as well as Euros, and it's secure

yeah its tragic, apparently the earthquake was more powerful than the last 5 major earthquakes put together :S
some people with serious money need to start sorting their life out, eg footballers, they could donate a weeks wages. if each player in premiership did that, it would be well over £1million, and besides its not like they need it.

That'd be a good idea, but it would never happen. Apparently the British government has pledged £15 million though

Stickied for such a good cause Nice one Apparently people in the UK have raised £25 million now, and the UK government has pledged £50 million. And I was wrong earlier, because The Premiership have pledged £1 million. One bit of good news for me. My 2 friends in Kerala have got in contact with me and are safe

But what would bring the costs down are these greedy people who see nothing but dollar signs. If I had a company that sold things like clean up stuff and anything they needed, I would donate some and sell it at a much lower price. That could drop costs several million dollars. But this world is powered by money.
